First of all, it is that our art historians are native speakers of Russian, German and French and that they reside in Germany, in France and near Russia and have access to the largest art libraries in these three countries, which are where 99 percent of the Kandinsky archives and reference material are located.
It is impossible to determine if a painting or a drawing is a new Kandinsky, is a discovery, or a long-lost work, if one is not fluent in these languages, and if one cannot go to or access the art libraries and archives that hold 99 percent of the Kandinsky material.
Our expertise is also based on 25 years of non-stop Kandinsky research, investigation, authentication, appraisal, forensic examinations and scientific tests of materials.
Finally, our expertise results from our specialists having PhD and MA degrees in art history including from Ivy League colleges and experience from holding positions in museums and with the largest auction houses in the world.

Examination - We examine Kandinsky paintings and drawings anywhere in the world where it is safe to go. We can examine your Kandinsky at your residence, your office, your bank, your attorney’s office, your restorer’s studio, your art storage facility, at your hotel, plane or yacht if you are traveling, at an art gallery or auctioneer if you are considering buying a Kandinsky. We also examine at the offices or warehouse of any government agency, law enforcement department, college, library, bank, financial institution, museum, religious congregation, or institution. For liability and insurance reasons we don’t examine at our own locations.
